OnixOS publishes binary packages in pacman repositories. To add the supplied mirror entries to /etc/pacman.conf, use:
[onix-base]
SigLevel = Never
Server = http://repo.onix-project.com/base/$arch
[onix-community]
SigLevel = Never
Server = http://repo.onix-project.com/community/$arch
[onix-kernel]
SigLevel = Never
Server = http://repo.onix-project.com/kernel/$arch
Keep the section names and URL paths as written. Pacman substitutes $arch with the active architecture when it requests a repository database or package.
What this configuration means
SigLevel = Never disables package-signature checks for these entries. The URLs use plain HTTP. Use these settings only when you intend to use the supplied mirror configuration.
This manual snippet is not identical to the profile files. The standard profile sources currently configure HTTPS URLs for [onix-base], [onix-firmware] and [onix-kernel], with SigLevel = Never TrustAll; those files do not currently enable [onix-community]. A repository published by the build system is not necessarily enabled by every profile. Check the profile’s own pacman.conf before changing an installed system’s configuration.
Browse packages and update
The OnixOS repository index lists published package databases. Use the package catalog to connect repository groups to their source lists.
After changing repository configuration, refresh databases as part of a full upgrade:
sudo pacman -Syu
See package management for normal pacman operations and system architecture for how source packages become repository packages.
