The Server profile starts from the Core package set and adds a profile-local installer that configures a server from selectable service roles. Its package list contains 51 non-comment entries, declares x86_64 and has BIOS Syslinux plus UEFI systemd-boot live boot entries.

Installer behavior
The Server installer is stored in airootfs/usr/share/onixos-server/installer and copied to the live system by the profile setup. It starts on tty1 in BIOS and UEFI modes. The wizard asks for the disk, server roles, hostname and first account; after an explicit disk-erasure confirmation, it partitions and installs the selected configuration. It is separate from the general onixos-cli-installer package.
Available roles
The checked-in installer role list includes:
- Docker Engine or Podman
- Nginx, Apache, Caddy or LAMP
- PostgreSQL, MariaDB or Valkey
- Cockpit and Prometheus/Node Exporter/Grafana monitoring
- AdGuard Home, Uptime Kuma, Forgejo, Memcached and Jellyfin
- Kubernetes with kubeadm, containerd and Flannel
- OLF Deployment Manager
- Postfix and Dovecot mail services
Roles can be combined only when their resources do not conflict. Competing web services share HTTP ports, LAMP already includes MariaDB, and the monitoring stack conflicts with Cockpit, Forgejo and AdGuard Home because their default interfaces use overlapping ports. Kubernetes is exclusive because it configures swap for the cluster. The installer marks incompatible choices and names the blocker.
Some selected roles install services, create databases or deploy containers. Review the roles and their network exposure before confirming installation. The installer enables OpenSSH for remote administration; review firewall policy before exposing services to a network.
Current behavior and conflict rules are described in the Server profile source. Package and image build inputs are in the profile package map and build guide.
