OnixOS repositories
OnixOS is maintained across several GitLab projects. Package recipes, profile manifests and build-system source are separate repositories because they have different release and maintenance responsibilities.
| Repository | Contents |
|---|---|
| OnixOS group | Project index and related source projects |
| OnixOS package group | Distribution packages and base tools |
| Community package group | Community package sources selected by the active build list |
| Profile group | Standard profile images and separate delivery projects |
| Build system | Package repository and profile-image orchestration |
| O Language runtime | Go implementation, runtime documentation and command line |
| Website source | Astro, React and Markdown source for this site |
The package catalog, profile reference and build guide explain how these repositories fit together.
Working on a project
Choose the repository that owns the file you intend to change. Package contents and supported architectures belong in the package project’s PKGBUILD and source files. Image contents belong in the profile’s package list and filesystem overlay. Build-system source lists decide which projects are selected for a repository or image build.
Read the target repository’s README and contribution instructions before changing its build interface. The website documents current source behavior; it does not replace package-level or profile-level review.
