These projects live in the OnixOS profile group but are separate from the six profiles currently selected for the standard image set. Their source repositories are the authority for supported hardware, artifact format, current maintenance and install status.

Mobile Edition

The Mobile project describes a Plasma Mobile image and root filesystem archive. Its source lists x86_64, aarch64 and armv7h build targets. That list is not a compatibility promise for every phone or tablet: each device still needs suitable firmware, kernel, device tree and boot configuration. Review the project README and release artifacts for the target device.

TV Edition

The TV project builds a Plasma Bigscreen image. The project documents raw disk images for x86_64 and aarch64 Raspberry Pi systems. These are disk images, not the standard installer ISO; follow the project-specific device and writing instructions.

Kubernetes project

The Kubernetes image project is outside the active six-profile list. Check its current README and releases for implementation and boot/install status before using it. The local experimental onixos-kubelet directory is a separate work area and is not treated here as the public project source.

Retro Edition

The Retro project contains an XFCE retro-gaming profile. GitLab marks that project archived, so treat it as historical source rather than a maintained standard image.

Floppy Edition

The Floppy project describes a small bootable image for i386 and x86_64 using BusyBox and Olang Mini. It is not a desktop session or an OnixOS installation image. Check the project’s current source and release artifacts for maintenance state and output details.

Docker and Vagrant

The profiles group also contains Docker and Vagrant delivery projects. They are not standard install profiles; their current usage is listed on the Download page.

For the six standard profiles, see Editions and the profile index. For architecture target distinctions, read System architecture.
